Rajeev Chawla, CEO and Co-Founder
Before founding CloudVelox, Rajeev worked as an Entrepreneur In Residence (EIR) at the Mayfield Fund, a Venture Capital Firm based in Silicon Valley. Prior to that, Rajeev was the founding CEO of NeoPath Networks (acquired by Cisco), a leading provider of file virtualization and management solutions. Prior to that, he was a co-founder and VP of Engineering and CTO of Ingrian Networks (acquired by SafeNet), one of the first providers of secure content networking appliances. He has also held various management and engineering positions at Healtheon/WebMD, Sun Microsystems and Integrated Systems.
Rajeev holds an M.S. degree in Computer Science from Virginia Commonwealth University and a B.Tech. degree in Computer Science from IT-BHU, Varanasi, India. In addition, he is a holder of 13 US patents and several awards.
Anand Iyengar, CTO and Co-Founder
Before founding CloudVelox, Anand was CTO at NeoPath Networks that was acquired by Cisco. Prior to that, Anand was a senior engineer at Ingrian Systems, leading and managing technical teams. He has more than 15 years of technical experience in both research and products at large and small companies including AT&T Bell Laboratories, Sun Microsystems, and Vertical Networks.
Anand has expertise in distributed systems from low-level software to high-level architecture, including areas of high-speed networks, protocols, memory management, file systems, and high-performance I/O. He has published novel techniques and architectures for prioritization in high-speed packet switches.
Anand has an M.S. in Computer Science from University of Pennsylvania and a B.S. in Computer Science from University of Delaware.
Panagiotis (Panos) Tsirigotis, Chief Software Architect and Co-Founder
Before founding CloudVelox, Panos was the Chief Software Architect at NeoPath Networks that was acquired by Cisco. Prior to that, Panos was the senior software architect at Ingrian Systems. He has more than 15 years of technical experience working at Sun Microsystems, Tivo, NeoPath Networks, and Ingrian Systems.
Panos has architected and led several projects. He is the original author of xinetd, now shipped standard in RedHat Linux and other Linux distributions. He has worked on the Solaris operating system kernel and several areas of the Spring system, a distributed object-oriented microkernel-based operating system.
Panos has a Master’s in Computer Science from University of Colorado. In addition, he is a holder of 16 patents and several awards.
Raman Chawla, VP of Engineering and Co-Founder
Before founding CloudVelox, Raman was a Senior Director of Engineering at NeoPath Networks that was acquired by Cisco. Raman has more than 20 years of experience both managing and as a senior engineer.
At NeoPath / Cisco, he grew development and QA teams in both U.S. and India and delivered several releases of the File Director appliance on time and within budget. Prior to that, Raman has worked at Ingrian Systems and InsWeb in the U.S., Noranda, Inc. in Canada and GSI in India.
Raman has expertise in building teams from the ground up and possesses strong project management skills.
Raman has an M.S. in Software Engineering from National University, USA and an M.S. in Applied Geology from University of Delhi, India.
Gregory Ness, VP Worldwide Marketing
Before joining CloudVelox Greg was Chief Marketing Officer at Vantage Data Centers, where he helped the company establish itself as a leader in wholesale data centers. He joined Vantage from Infoblox (BLOX) where he was Vice President of Corporate Marketing. Before Infoblox, Greg was Vice President of Marketing at Blue Lane Technologies (acquired by VMware) and Senior Director of Corporate Marketing at Redline Networks (acquired by Juniper Networks). Before Redline Greg had key marketing roles at IntruVert (acquired by McAfee) and ShoreTel (SHOR).
Gregory has a BA in Political Science from Reed College and a Master’s Degree in Middle Eastern Studies from The University of Texas at Austin. He has spoken at Cisco Live, Future in Review, Interop, and Cloud Connect on topics related to networking, virtualization and cloud computing.
Vasu Subbiah, VP Products
Before joining CloudVelox, Vasu was Senior Director of Product Management at Sungard Availability Services, where he conceptualized and managed the market leading Recover2Cloud services (cloud based availability services). He has 18+ years experience in Product Management, Strategic Alliances and consulting at companies like NetApp (NTAP), NewChannel and Oracle (ORCL).
Vasu has a BE in Mechanical Engineering (Bangalore University), MS in Industrial Engineering (University of Oklahoma, Norman) and an MBA (Booth School of Business – University of Chicago).
He has spoken at Cisco Live, Oracle World, and DRJ World on topics related to virtualization, enterprise storage and cloud computing.

Navin Chaddha is a Managing Director at Mayfield. He is a proven serial entrepreneur and venture investor. He has been named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum, and has ranked on the Forbes Midas list of Top 100 Tech Investors six times. Navin has made over 35 investments of which 12 have had IPOs and another 12 have been acquired. Some of his notable successes include SolarCity (NASDAQ:SCTY), StorSimple/Microsoft, Wichorus/Tellabs, Zenprise/Citrix, MakeMyTrip (NASDAQ:MMYT) and Persistent Systems (NSE: PERSISTENT). He is currently championing several entrepreneurs including the ones at Appcelerator, Brighter, Cloudgenix, CloudVelox, Elastica, Gigya, Lyft, MapR, Poshmark, Qunar (NASDAQ:QUNR), and Rubicon Project (NYSE: RUBI). Navin holds 35 patents and serves on the advisory board of the Stanford Engineering Venture Fund. He holds an MS degree in electrical engineering from Stanford University and a B.Tech degree in electrical engineering from IIT Delhi where he was honored with the prestigious distinguished IIT Alumni Award.
BV Jagadeesh, Independent
B V Jagadeesh is a successful serial entrepreneur in technology field, Venture Capitalist and a philanthropist. He co-founded and was CTO of Exodus communications in 1993 that pioneered the concept of Internet data centers. He was instrumental in successful IPO of Exodus in 1998.
Jagadeesh seed funded NetScaler and became President and CEO in 2000. NetScaler was successfully sold to Citrix for $325M and Jagadeesh served as Group VP and GM for Citrix application networking division. Jagadeesh has served as CEO and President for 3Leaf Systems.
Currently Jagadeesh is a Managing Partner at KAAJ Ventures and is focusing on both US and India based entrepreneurs.. His US investments include Ocarina Networks (acquired by Dell), Ankeena Networks (acquired by Juniper), Valence Energy (acquired by Serious Materials), Instantis ( acquired by Oracle ), Cloud Velox, ScaleArc, Nutanix, Fonemine and Whodini. India investments include Netmagic Solutions (acquired by NTT), Edurite (Tutor Vista), Triumph Software and Rakya. He is a prolific mentor at two of the leading management schools of India, namely IIM-B and IIM-A.
Jagadeesh also worked in Senior positions at 3Com and Novel before founding Exodus. Jagadeesh is based out of Silicon valley, CA.
Since June 2000, Mr. Schwartz has been Managing Partner of Third Point Ventures, the Sunnyvale, California based venture capital arm of Third Point LLC, which is a registered investment adviser based in New York and the investment manager of the Third Point Funds (AUM over $14B). Mr. Schwartz is presently a director of CloudVelox, Apigee, Formation Data Systems, R2 Semiconductor, Kumu Networks, KidoZen, Technocom Wireless, and EnPhase Energy. Previously he lead investments in Radia Communications (acquired by Texas Instruments), LitePoint (acquired by Teradyne), Global Locate (Acquired by Broadcom), EnPhase Energy (Nasdaq : ENPH), and IQ Engines (Acquired by Yahoo!) . Robert Schwartz was named to the Annual Always On List Of Top 100 Venture Capitalists. Previously, for 23 years, Mr. Schwartz was the President of RF Associates North, a privately held communications semiconductor manufacturer’s representative firm. Mr. Schwartz holds a multi-disciplinary engineering degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
Chris Cooper joined Pelion Venture Partners in 2007. Chris has over seventeen years of operational experience in the software industry and has held senior positions in sales management, field marketing, business development, and engineering. Most recently, he was Director of Partner Engineering and Developer Services at Novell, Inc. where he was responsible for the companies partner support and certification programs. Chris also served as General Manager of Novell’s Strategic Alliances, in which role he was responsible for the company’s relationships with global business partners, Oracle, Sun Microsystems, EMC, and Cisco Systems. Chris served as both a business and technical adviser for Novell Ventures and managed relationships between the fund’s portfolio companies and industry leaders. Prior to joining Novell, Chris served as East Coast Regional Sales Director for the WordPerfect Corporation. Chris serves on the board of directors of the Rocky Mountain Venture Capital Association. He studied at the University of Utah and the University of Phoenix.
